In May 2024, I was a little girl living in a tiny house with my parents. My mother worked hard every day to provide for me, but she always wanted to see us later in the evening. One night, as the sun set and the sky was golden, my parents were about to leave when I heard her calling softly. I turned around and saw my mother walking away.
The next morning, school was in session, and my mom had already moved out of town. She came home every day to prepare meals for me, play with my toys, or do homework with friends. But by the time we finished high school, she had no choice but to work as a nurse because all her other plans were unfulfilled.
One day, after several years of hard work, my mom decided to take a break from her job and started working in a different field. She now lived far away from me while I was in the hospital. My parents never saw my mom again until I came home one evening with tears in my eyes. "Mum, I love you," I whispered as she looked back at me with a heavy heart.
It's hard to know all of my mom's life, but for now, it's clear that she was the most important person in my life. She provided me with everything I needed and taught me so many things that will shape who I am today. Her love for me never ended, even as she left her job, which made it harder for us to say goodbye.
I remember when we first met. My mom was a little girl living in a small house with my parents. Each night, they would come home early and make sure everything was safe for our little family. One evening, after school, the sun was setting, and we were all sitting on the street. Suddenly, my mom called out to us, and I looked up just in time.
"My dear child," she said, her voice heavy with emotions, "I'm fine, no more trouble coming here." She smiled widely into my parents' faces, and they burst into laughter. That night, we slept soundly because my mom had shown me that she was okay.
As the years passed, my mom got older but never gave up on me. She worked every day for her family until we were gone. When I was younger, there weren't any holidays at all. Now, when school started again in May, I was back at home with my parents and still had to watch my mom from the living room.
One afternoon, my dad was waiting outside to see if I could help. He saw his daughter looking up at me with a tired expression, but didn't say anything until hours later. My mom came into the house minutes after she left her job. She looked at us, smiling softly and saying nothing, and just stepped back as the sun began to set.
My dad was left empty-handed that evening. He knew he had to leave because his wife would have missed him, but it made him sad. However, he wasn't angry. He always did good for his family, even if their life was uncertain.
Now, my mom is living in a place far away from us where she can't see the light anymore. But I don't care about that at all. My mom is the reason why I feel happy every day. She taught me how to take care of myself, how to love others, and how much it's important to be with someone who loves you.
I still hope for some happiness in May 2024 because my mom is always with me. And she will always keep shining in the mornings when I'm looking up at the sky. She loves me more than anything, even as I leave her job.
